Three Colors of SEO Promotion
Search engine promotion can be Black hat done in three ways. Website owners and novice optimizers often wonder how they differ from each other. Let’s briefly examine each method:
- White
Search engine promotion of the site is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of search engines. The emphasis is on improving rcs data usability, technical part, content and other key parameters of the resource. The Black hat main goal is maximum usefulness for users.
White optimization minimizes the risks of falling under filters. This method is safe, but long. The first results have to wait for a long time. A competent approach, as a rule, always leads to getting to the top lines.
- Gray
During optimization, not only legal techniques “like a fairy ball are used, but also techniques that are not recommended by search engines. They are not prohibited, but if you abuse them, you can get sanctioned. These include, for example, buying links from other resources to the promoted one.
Gray promotion brings the desired result uae cell number faster. But it is more risky than white.
- Black Hat SEO
Methods prohibited by search engines are used, which we will consider further. If the robot detects one of them, the resource will be subject to filters or completely removed from the index.
Black SEO leads to a quick top ranking, but almost always ends in a ban. It is often used in the fight against a competitor site to get it sanctioned and take its place.
Black hat optimization methods
There are no more than a dozen popular methods. Their list is periodically updated along with the improvement of search algorithms. What was previously considered the norm has become illegal over time. Let’s consider the most common ones.
Cloaking
Cloaking (from English cloaking – disguise) is the demonstration of different content to users and search robots. The visitor sees normal readable content, and the search engine – text filled with keywords. For implementation, special software is used that remembers the IP of the search engine and replaces the content when the robot visits the site.

The method is complicated, but quite effective. Search engines consider it a scam, so when they detect it, they remove pages with cloaking from the index. Hackers often use cloaking when attacking a site. So it is difficult for the owner to understand why the resource is losing positions and traffic.
Swapping
Swapping (from English swapping – to exchange) – replacement of page content immediately after indexing. Search robots visit the site and enter it into the index not continuously, but periodically. Therefore, until the next indexing, the page with the changed content will be at the top.
The method is used to promote resources with a short life cycle. Unscrupulous optimizers are also fond of this. In a short period of time, they bring the resource to the top and receive payment. And after some time, the site falls under sanctions.
Doorways
Doorways (from English doorway – entrance door, portal) are sites with unnatural content that redirect visitors to the promoted resource. They are optimized for one or more queries, but in fact do not carry any semantic load for users. Their main goal is to be indexed and forward traffic using a redirect.
