We made the landing page of the service an example and increased the conversion by 2.4 times

Typically, businesses use gamification for individual campaigns that don’t last very long. But interactive mechanics can be useful on an ongoing conversion by 2.4 times basis, too — for example, they can be added to a company’s website to retain users and convey important information in a simple way.

That’s exactly what we did when we redesigned job function email database a key section of our own website — the special projects page. I’ll tell you how, using lists, tigers, and a few other things, we were able to present a complex service and improve all the key metrics.

Task

In the marketing market, special projects are used to refer to a wide variety of formats. The content did not properly immerse into the non-obvious service and no longer reflected the agency’s current experience and capabilities.

The new page had to describe the service in detail and in an interesting way, engage the visitor and lead them to the target action – an application.

Solution

In addition to updating the content, we decided to add interactive elements to the page. They make it easier to perceive information and encourage interaction. Interactivity helps users navigate through the extensive content and at the same time entertains and demonstrates our skills in game mechanics.

I also used illustrations, animated and conversion by 2.4 times static. Some simply provide a break from the letters, but many themselves carry information about the service. For example, we found gifs from finished special projects and screenshots of working documents useful.

Details

I needed to organize a large amount of information, clearly divide it into semantic blocks and make each one understandable and interesting.

The main technique was drop-down lists and tabs. Among other things, they allowed for a compact arrangement of 10 examples of mechanics with large illustrations and division into categories.

We used the same method to fit 12 large case cards onto one screen. To catch the users’ eye, we added animation and emojis — they highlighted projects that had won competition awards.

We decided to present the prices on flip cards. This is another interactive element that draws attention to key information. I stylized the cards as playing cards based on the page theme. In the mobile version, you can even shuffle them — this way we both saved space and increased immersion.

The most difficult part was to design a block with a detailed description of how EMAILMATRIX works on special projects. This is an important, but conversion by 2.4 times long and boring list. I decided to decorate it with a progress bar that reflected the stages, and visual artifacts from different projects.

 

The mask

I consider the tiger to be my main discovery on the project. This image both shows the power of our paws and entertains users, getting into strange situations. Sometimes it works as an arrow on a clock, sometimes it jumps after the cursor, sometimes it can be cut with scissors. With the help of these elements, we got away from the wall of text in blocks for which there are no meaningful illustrations.
