Shopify Reports: How to get the most out of your store’s analytics

You probably have a lot of questions about your business, your customers, and your marketing efforts . Shopify reports can give you answers to many of these questions.

Understanding and analyzing Shopify reports

The different Shopify reports

  • Sessions over time: These Shopify reports show the number of visitors over a specific period of time.

  • Sessions by Location: These Shopify reports show the countries and regions from which visitors access your online store.

It is important to note that the number of visits and visitors is based on cookies, one of which identifies the device (of the visitor) and one of which identifies the duration of the visit. This means that one visitor can generate multiple visits.

Also note that a visit automatically ends after 30 minutes of inactivity or at midnight (UTC). The data sometimes takes a few minutes to update. If you don’t see the most current information, it’s best to reopen or refresh the report.
